This article was inspired by a recent conversation and current reading. As a prelude, it’s worth mentioning that I have high regard for billionaires. Allow me to explain. My fascination extends toward the minds of billionaires, more than their wealth – particularly self made billionaires. Imagine for a moment how one must think in order to reach the level of wealth and power they hold? It is for this reason there are only 946 billionaires in the world today with a combined wealth of $3.5 trillion. That is a staggering number to say the least.
Let’s think in terms of inches. An inch is a very short unit of distance. How far away is one million inches? The surprising answer is that it is just over 15 miles. A billion inches would not even take you around the Earth.
Admittedly, all that heady billionaire success has been ingrained into my psyche from very early on in my business career many years ago. Is it achievable? I have already affirmed it. But is it really typically possible for anyone to achieve? Well, since there are currently about 6.8 billion people on the planet with just over a thousand Most Richest persons in the world, I would surmise the ratio would be highly against that happening.
The natural thing to do for success seekers is to try the find the “secret” of success. The ultimate formula by which success is assured, easy to accomplish and standing just around the corner.
Infrastructure: Decide what you need: computer,printer, fax, phone; whatever your chosen business requires. Create an office space that suits your lifestyle and work needs. A corner of the living room can function well if you can work while the kids are at school or if their noise doesn’t bother you, but evening work may require a separate room. Don’t put your office in the bedroom if you work evenings Youngest Billionaires and your spouse goes to bed early. You need your family’s support, not their animosity!
